Call for Volunteers: Linux Professional Institute “Job Task Analysis”
(Sacramento, USA, February 21, 2008) The Linux Professional Institute
(LPI), issued a call for volunteers to assist in the development of its
world leading Linux certification program. Volunteers are sought in an
updated Job Task Analysis (JTA) survey for the organization’s LPIC-1
and LPIC-2 certification programs.
LPI is undertaking an extensive review and update of its popular LPIC-1
and LPIC-2 certifications. Linux professionals are invited to
participate in the Job Task Analysis (JTA) survey to determine exam
weighting and finalize exam objectives for both certification programs.
The LPIC-1 JTA is available now at https://www.lpi.org/caf/Xamdev/jta
and the LPIC-2 JTA survey will be released near the end of February.
Updated objectives for exam preparation and training material providers
will be available in May 2008 and new updated exams will be published in
December 2008.
As an incentive for volunteers LPI will be offering free exams to the
first 50 participants to complete the JTA and will award an additional
50 free exams to survey participants at random. These free exams will
only be available at exam labs at LPI events around the world, however
they are transferable to another person, and redeemable until December
31, 2009.
