Utah Holds Annual LearnKey Challenge for Technology Students

OREM, Utah, April 30 /PRNewswire/ — LearnKey, Inc. with the Career &
Technical Education within the Utah State Office of Education announces the
LearnKey state winners for the LearnKey Challenge. For the second year in a
row high school students have gathered at Utah Valley State College (UVSC)
to test on certification subjects like Novell, Cisco, Microsoft, Linux and
Certiport.

Top winners came from schools all over Utah. Top scorers included Juan
Diego High School, American Fork High School, and Cottonwood High School.
Close to 200 students came to UVSC on Monday April 28th to compete head to
head to win recognition and awards. UVSC scholarships were awarded to the
top winners as well as coveted prizes including XBOX, Nano IPOD, and other
software or technology related door prizes.

“The LearnKey Challenge recognizes the ‘all-state’ stars of IT
technology in Utah,” says Carl Lyman, Information Technology Education
Specialist of the Utah State Office of Education, “it is important to stand
behind these students who are learning the technology of today and
tomorrow.”

It was a big day for many teachers and students; listening to experts
from Microsoft, Novell, and Certiport about industry insights. “This type
of industry gathering is so important for the students that will be our
leaders of tomorrow. With these kids geared up and ready to go it’s really
nice to see them work hard with technology and pushing themselves to meet
industry standard test preparation”, say’s Jamie Franzman Chief of

LearnKey provided the industry-based testing questions. Each
certification test ranged from 30-45 minutes and students are allowed to
take up to two exams. LearnKey is known for preparing learners to take

these students to better judge their preparation for the jobs available in
