PALO ALTO, Calif., March 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Varian, Inc.
(NasdaqGS: VARI) announced today the release of the VF-5ht UltiMetal(TM)

columns. A proprietary manufacturing process renders the steel inert and
enhances the bonding of the stationary phase. The result is long column
lifetime with excellent peak shape and low column bleed for the best
detection limits at high temperatures. The UltiMetal column is a high
performance, lasting solution for high temperature gas chromatography. Read more
