ASI Notebooks Pass Microsoft WHQL Validation for Hardware Compatibility With Windows XP and Windows Vista

FREMONT, Calif., March 25 /PRNewswire/ — Fremont California based ASI
Computer Technologies, a leading distributor of computer components and
peripheral products to over 20,000 VARs throughout North America, announced
that the company’s line of Nspire Notebooks passed Microsoft’s WHQL
validation allowing them to be displayed on the Hardware Compatibility List
for both Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems.
The Windows Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) is part of the “Devices
Just Work” effort at Microsoft to help ensure hardware compatibility and
enhance the quality of the users overall experience with Windows XP and
Windows Vista operating systems. The Windows Logo Program helps partners
such as ASI to be innovative and capable of bringing a premium experience
to the market, thereby improving their ability to increase market share.

in their notebook family, but they have completed the process for their

desktops to help round out the solution stack of WHQL validated computers,”

noted that ASI has assisted several clients with the testing under
alternate brands that ASI integrates so the company is already familiar
with the process.
